Expect energetic performances and lively discussions around the creative responses to heartbreak, exploring its strong emotional impact. The evening includes poetry from award-winning writer Bridget Minamore's debut collection, Titanic which explores the sensibilities surrounding love and loss. Themed around a series of popular songs and a certain sinking ship, Minamore riffs from poem to poem with a choice selection of humorous and somber verse.
Enjoy Stand-Up from award-winning comedian, Yuriko Kotani, who will look at the funny side of heartbreak. Yuriko is one to watch after being on a string of prime time comedy television shows since winning the BBC New Comedy Award 2015 and will delight audiences showcasing part of her slick new set.
Hear from the Founder behind the cult-followed Achey Breaky Heart Zine - a heartbreak zine which explores break ups, relationships and love, with advice on how to create your own DIY Zine. Writer and The Quietus Reviews Editor Anna Wood will explore and dissect the most significant London heartbreak classics in music with Stance.
And don’t miss relationship psychologist and broadcaster Anjula Mutanda who will be our very own on-site agony aunt answering all of our anon heartbreak queries throughout the evening.
