In an era of alternative facts, fake news, border bans and protectionism - Chrystal and Heta explore the concept of growing up in an alternative reality, with a focus on cults. This is the first of their Alternative Reality theme which they will explore in other episodes.

They host a profile interview with Iranian refugee, comedian and author - Shappi Khorsandi to find out more about her heritage, career and new book, Nina Is Not Ok.

Stance hears from Jude Kelly, the Artistic Director of London’s iconic Southbank Centre who started the international Women of the World festival, which features speakers including Angela Davis, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Gillian Anderson. Lastly, Stance hears from BBC Radio 1 presenter and DJ Gemma Cairney, who will be speaking at WOW and just realised her book Open.
